About
I'm a mobile engineer based in Cairo, focused mostly on React Native. My work is usually end-to-end: shape the app structure, build the screens and integrations, get it through the stores, then handle the production issues that show up after launch.
I have shipped Arabic-first products as well as English ones, so RTL and bidirectional text are part of the way I build, not a late pass. I am also comfortable joining codebases that are already moving and making them steadier without breaking what users have.

Mobile Software Engineer
Softoio LLC
Sole mobile engineer for 9 shipped production apps, with technical oversight on 7 more — owning architecture, implementation, and store releases.
- Own the Jeyad super-app for the Gulf equestrian community: realtime auctions, championships, a searchable 9M+ horse database, a social feed, chat, and Agora live streaming. ~5,000 users across 10 countries with 595K+ logged interactions.
- Made Jeyad white-label — shipped two sister apps, Neyaq and Qarnas, on the same codebase in about two weeks each.
- Built Jeyad's auctions (Veriff KYC, deposits, live bidding synced with on-site bids, and in-app e-signature contracts) and a championship engine with multi-criteria judging and fantasy-style predictions.
- Shipped Jeyad TV on tvOS and Android TV — HLS via react-native-video on tvOS, native Agora on Android TV — and fixed New Architecture (Fabric) interop along the way.
- Built HM-Task, a GPS work-time tracking app for German facilities staff: three roles, six languages, an offline-first sync queue with idempotency keys, and a server-driven state machine.
- Delivered Riya Shop KSA, a multi-brand e-commerce app for the Saudi market with payments — at ~10,000 users, my biggest app by user count.
- Directed 5 contract engineers through to release, mentored one into a permanent engineering role, and took over externally built apps (Dynamo Car, Al-Amthal), rebranding and stabilizing them for production.
- Run the release pipeline for both stores: 100+ releases, OTA updates and hotfixes, and an automated build and signing workflow on GitHub Actions and Expo EAS.
